As the global reveal of the 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric draws nearer, the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer is starting to drip-feed us with some of the most interesting details of its upcoming electric vehicle (EV). As a refresher, the new Cayenne Electric will be sold alongside the internal combustion engine (ICE) version, but if you’re after the tech and modernity, you’ll probably like what they have on offer.
Porsche’s “Interior Of The Future”

Porsche says that this is the “interior of the future”, but we certainly hope that this won’t be the interior that will be utilized in its sports cars. In a family SUV, sure, but in something where the driving experience is the main focal point, probably not. Anyway, your eyes will be drawn to the Flow Display, the main OLED infotainment screen that’s been bent at a 45-degree angle.
The reason for the bend is that the lower part of the screen features scrollable secondary controls. Without the secondary menu, scrolling through the entire display should (theoretically) feel a bit more natural as opposed to having the screen completely vertical. In conjunction with the Flow Display is a 14.25-inch OLED digital gauge cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display.
Another optional feature comes in the form of a massive 87-inch augmented reality head-up display (HUD), which we assume uses similar technology that’s found in the Audi Q6 e-tron. If our experience from that vehicle is any indicator of what to expect, then we’re happy to report that the augmented reality HUD is implemented well.

The soon-to-be-named new operating system (OS) powering these screens will feature an AI-driven voice assistant, along with the most comprehensive level of personalization ever. These are thanks to the Mood Modes, which utilize the ambient lighting, climate controls, EV noises, and seat settings to match the driver’s mood.
Thankfully, despite being heavy in screens, our clamor for physical controls seems to have worked. Porsche has kept a few of the most frequently-used functions in the vehicle as physical buttons and knobs, specifically the volume scroller and the climate control toggles.
More Personalization Than Ever

Further making the interior more personalized and, of course, more luxurious are the available 13 interior color combinations, four interior packages, and five accent packs. Material choices range from leather, vegan-friendly Race-Tex synthetic leather, and Pepita-patterned textiles that pay homage to Porsche’s heritage. If this still isn’t posh enough for you, that’s where Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and the even more comprehensive Sonderwunsch program come in.
As for the other interior bits, Porsche says that the Cayenne Electric has the largest glass roof ever fitted into any of its models. It gets a sliding front glass section, along with Variable Light Control that comes with clear, semi-transparent, and matte settings. The front seats also feature heating and cooling as standard, while fitted as standard for the rear occupants are electrically-adjustable rear seats.
More Than 1,000 Horsepower

Porsche has also revealed more technical details about the new Cayenne Electric. No surprise here, the 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric is underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which can accommodate a power output of more than 1,000 horsepower. All Cayenne Electric variants will have a 113 kWh battery pack with 400 kW DC ultra-fast charging, along with the recently-revealed wireless charging capability. Porsche also says that it will have more than 595 kilometers of range.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric is expected to be revealed before 2025 ends. Until then, we’ll continue to post anything that’s noteworthy about the new Cayenne Electric as its global reveal draws nearer.
