Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is making the Tamaraw even more appealing to a wider audience as it now launches additional automatic variants. Interestingly, they’ve also added more color options beyond the usual Super White II.
More Variants With An Automatic
Previously reserved for the GL Dropside, the six-speed automatic is now available in the GL Utility Van and GL Aluminum Cargo, which retail for P1,307,000 and P1,167,000, respectively. The automatic versions also have a slightly different state of tune for their 2.4-liter turbo diesel engines. In this case, the 150-horsepower 2GD-FTV turbo diesel engine offers 400 Nm versus the 343 Nm of the manual versions.
I See Your True Colors
More color options have also been added for the Toyota Tamaraw. The GL Dropside will now be available in Super Red, on top of the existing Super White II, Silver Metallic 1, and Black 1. Meanwhile, the Tamaraw Utility Van will be available in Black 1, Greyish Blue Metallic, and Super Red. The Tamaraw Dropside DSL M/T, meanwhile, will additionally be available in Silver Metallic.
More Body Styles, More Flexibility
Finally, as the Tamaraw’s appeal reaches other industries, additional body styles have been added, namely the Ambulance, Telco Van, Patrol Car, and Ref Van. All of these versions come with a manual for now, but Toyota Motor Philippines may adapt if there is demand for automatic versions.
