2027 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Arrives In PH, Priced From P2.235M

The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ arrives in the Philippines as the most affordable Land Cruiser to date. Prices start at P2,235,000.

Remember the Toyota FJ Cruiser? Well, the iconic nameplate is making a comeback with the new 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ. Sporting a rugged look that the Land Cruiser has always been known for, along with a compact body style, the Land Cruiser FJ is now the third member of the Land Cruiser family, with the other two being the Land Cruiser Prado (Land Cruiser 250) and the full-size Land Cruiser 300.

Just how compact is the Land Cruiser FJ? Well, with it measuring 4,575 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,960 mm tall, with a wheelbase that measures 2,580 mm, it is incrementally larger than a Corolla Cross, but it has a slightly shorter wheelbase and a much taller height.

To achieve its compact dimensions, the 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is riding on the IMV platform (no, not the Tamaraw’s IMV 0) that’s shared with the Hilux and Fortuner. Therefore, it is also using a familiar engine that’s already compatible with this body-on-frame chassis—a 2.7-liter 2TR-FE four-cylinder that produces 161 horsepower and 246 Nm of torque. This drives all four wheels via a six-speed automatic.

The IMV platform wasn’t just shortened, but it also got stronger and more rigid through additional chassis bracing. Together with the short 2,580 mm wheelbase allowing for excellent breakover angles, along with short front and rear overhangs for excellent approach and departure angles, the Land Cruiser FJ has the off-road maneuverability that’s fit for a Land Cruiser model.

Also deserving the Land Cruiser nameplate is its style, whose front end comes in two distinct designs. Like the Land Cruiser Prado, there’s a choice between a retro-inspired grille, complemented by full LED headlights with C-shaped LED daytime running lights. There are two variants on offer: TX and VX. The TX gets 17-inch steel wheels, while the VX gets 18-inch alloy wheels.

Finally, moving towards the rear end, the rear-mounted spare tire won’t do any favors in terms of rear visibility. The back of the tailgate is mostly black, and this is accompanied by C-shaped LED taillights. Since Toyota knows that the Land Cruiser FJ will be a vehicle for the rough and tumble life, the front and rear corner bumpers are easily removable.

Apart from being easy to repair, Toyota also made the Land Cruiser FJ highly modular. As such, Toyota has showcased a plethora of accessories from third-party brands like ARB, along with available MOLLE panels to make this SUV even more functional than it already is.

The rugged theme of the Land Cruiser FJ carries over inside, with its interior materials heavily focused on durability rather than luxury. Still, Toyota has spent a great deal of effort in making it very modern, as both the TX and VX feature a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, along with an 8-inch touchscreen in the TX or a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the VX. The TX also gets fabric upholstery, urethane steering, a PVC shift knob, and synthetic leather upholstery, while the VX gets leather for the steering and shift knob, along with power adjustment for the driver’s seat.

Of course, being a modern Toyota, the 2026 Land Cruiser FJ comes with Toyota Safety Sense—the brand’s suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. This includes stuff like Pre-Collision Braking, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Monitoring, just to name a few. This is exclusive, however, to the range-topping VX.

The 2027 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is now open for reservations at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show, which runs from June 4 to 7. The available colors include Ash, Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Attitude Black Mica, and Platinum White Mica. The TX retails for P2,235,000, while the VX retails for P2,575,000.
