2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid Now In PH, Priced From P1.999M

The 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid has finally arrived in the Philippines, featuring new features and more value out of its hybrid drivetrain.

Hyundai Motor Philippines has officially launched the new 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid. This also marks the arrival of the mid-cycle facelift for the highly regarded van, which introduces a few design improvements, new features, and added value for your money.

The Staria has established itself as a futuristic and stylish successor to the Starex, and for its mid-cycle facelift, Hyundai is refining the details to maintain its distinction. The wide front grille has been reworked for a more premium look, which has been achieved through horizontal lines and clever detailing. The LED headlights have also been given a new design to complement the new grille. The full-width LED light bar now has a cleaner look as well, thanks to it being unified into a single piece as opposed to the previous version, which was composed of three separate pieces. The rest of the design of the Staria remains unchanged, save for new 18-inch wheels.

The Staria Hybrid comes in four variants: GL, GLS, Premium, and Premium Plus. As standard, all models come with LED headlights, while all but the base GL get LED taillights. Only the Premium variants get the new 18-inch alloy wheel design, while the GLS and GL feature 17-inch wheels.

Moving inside the 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid, the dash layout has been revised to accommodate the new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for the Premium variants, or the new 4.2-inch dot-matrix gauge cluster design of the lower variants. New for 2027 is a standard-fit 12.3-inch connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment system, which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the Premium variants, you get a 12-speaker Bose sound system and the first-ever application of Hyundai BlueLink in the Philippines.

BlueLink works through Hyundai Live Services, in which owners can access real-time traffic and weather updates directly via the infotainment system without the need to tether a smartphone. Data is refreshed every two minutes, and BlueLink also supports online voice recognition for safer operation of the vehicle. BlueLink also comes with a smartphone app, which, like every other vehicle telematics feature, allows owners to monitor their Staria Hybrid’s status, diagnostics, and health reports. You can also control certain settings from the app, like the pre-cooling for the air conditioning, powered tailgate and door locks, horn, and lights.

Apart from the new tech features, the Staria Hybrid’s interior also features revamped materials for a more premium feel. Leatherette upholstery and power sliding doors are standard in the GLS, while the Premium gets leather upholstery, an electronic column-mounted shifter, and an additional powered tailgate. The Premium Plus, meanwhile, has luxurious seven seats wrapped in Nappa Leather. It is also in this variant where the captain’s chairs feature power adjustment with a Relaxation Mode, along with dual sunroofs.

The main highlight of the 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid is, of course, its hybrid drivetrain. Featuring a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder and an electric motor integrated into the six-speed automatic, it is basically the same parallel hybrid that’s used in the Kia Sorento Hybrid, Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, just to name a few. It has a system ouptut of 245 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque.

The Staria Hybrid, however, takes advantage of its hybrid electrical architecture to introduce hybrid-specific handling functions. These include e-Handling which improves the Staria Hybrid’s agility and stability while cornering, and e-Ride, which enhances ride quality when crossing speed bumps or rapid acceleration.

Lastly, the 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid Premium variants come with Hyundai SmartSense, an array of advanced safety technologies, engineered with customer safety in mind. These include new features such as the Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Side Parking Distance Warning. This is on top of Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, a 360-degree camera system, and the usual plethora of airbags and stability control features.

“The Staria is one of the most iconic nameplates in our current lineup, completing our Hybrid range while carrying a legacy Filipinos trust. Building on the STAREX’s role in family life, we are proud to be launching the Staria Hybrid, which brings a more connected, comfortable experience for modern and practical Filipino families,” said Mr. Jiho Son, HMPH President.

The 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid is available in three colors: Creamy White, Abyss Black Pearl, and Shimmering Silver Metallic. Exclusive interior colors for the seven-seater and nine-seater premium variants come in Bordeaux Brown and Anthracite Brown, respectively. Here are the prices of the new Staria Hybrid, but for those looking for a cargo version of the Staria, the 2.2-liter Diesel Cargo variant is still being sold.
