2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid Arrives In PH, Priced From P1.978M

UPDATE: Kia Philippines has introduced a P1,898,000 introductory offer for the Sportage Turbo Hybrid EX, which is only valid for a limited time.

The 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid has arrived in the Philippines, bringing yet another competitor into the increasingly competitive compact hybrid SUV segment. The Sportage Hybrid is pitched to be a more affordable alternative to its Japanese and even its Korean rivals, whilst still maintaining the distinct styling values and traits that the Kia brand has now been known for.

Donning the brand’s Opposites United design language, the Sportage Turbo Hybrid last received a facelift for the 2025 model year. The vertically stacked LED headlights, Star-Map signature LED daytime running lights, and wide mesh grille evoke a bold presence for the vehicle. 18-inch wheels are fitted as standard to both the EX and range-topping SX, with the latter featuring a triangular design. Moving towards the rear, this crossover SUV features a stylish rear end with sleek partial LED taillights. A powered tailgate is standard on both variants, as are power-folding mirrors and smart entry with push-button start.

Inside, the 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid features a horizontal dash layout that emphasizes the interior’s width. A tasteful mix of matte textures, soft-touch materials, and satin silver trims make for a premium and easy-to-clean interior, especially since it doesn’t attract a lot of fingerprints. The center console has a nice textured gray trim piece, which contains the rotary gear selector. Leatherette is used on the steering wheel, while genuine leather is used on the seats.

As for tech features, a 12.3-inch touchscreen that runs Hyundai Motor Group’s connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system comes standard, and this includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Meanwhile, the digital gauge cluster is a dot matrix type, which blends with the 4.2-inch color multi-information display. The SX variant adds an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

Powering the 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid is a familiar 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder with an electric motor integrated into the six-speed automatic. Together, the entire parallel hybrid system produces 235 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque. With a full tank, the Sportage Turbo Hybrid can travel up to 1,040 kilometers, and Kia claims a maximum fuel efficiency of 20 km/l.

Lastly, the 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid in range-topping SX form is fitted with the DriveWise suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA 1.5), which now prevents collisions when turning in junctions. Other features include Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Lane Keeping Assistance System (LKAS), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Following Assist (LFA), and Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), among other ADAS features.

The 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid is now on sale in the Philippines, with the EX starting at P1,978,000 and the SX retailing for P2,098,000. The Sportage Turbo Hybrid comes with an 8-year/160,000-kilometer battery warranty and a 5-year/160,000-kilometer warranty.
