The Lexus RZ first arrived in the Philippine market back in 2023, marking the brand’s entry into the luxury electric vehicle (EV) market. A technical update was introduced last year, and now, in 2027, the updated Lexus RZ has finally made its way into the Philippines.
Most of the updates for 2027 are centered around its electric motor and battery. The new 2027 Lexus RZ comes with an updated eAxle electric motor at the front axle in the RZ 350e Core, or on both the front and rear axles in the RZ 500e Luxury. In the RZ 350e Core’s case, it produces 227 horsepower and 268 Nm of torque, while the RZ 500e Luxury’s dual-motor Direct4 all-wheel drive (AWD) system is good for 380 horsepower and 268 Nm of torque.
Both variants also come with a larger and more energy-dense 77 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is good for 508 kilometers of WLTP-rated range for the RZ 350e, or 456 kilometers for the more powerful RZ 500e Luxury. Both figures are huge improvements versus the 395 kilometers that the previous RZ 500e offered. AC charging is pretty quick at 22 kW, while DC fast charging is a middle-of-the-pack 150 kW.
As for its design, well, don’t expect any changes. The exterior remains largely the same as before, with full LED exterior lighting, electronic door handles, and 20-inch wheels fitted to both variants.
The interior is likewise similar as well, with standard features including a 14-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, LED ambient lighting, and Tsuyasumi woodgrain interior trims. Step up to the RZ 500e Luxury, and you’ll get a Mark Levinson surround sound system, Ultrasuede inserts on top of the synthetic leather upholstery, and a panoramic glass roof with two-stage dimming.
The 2027 Lexus RZ is now on sale at Lexus Manila Gallery for P4,438,000 for the RZ 350e, and P5,428,000 for the RZ 500e.
