Isuzu Philippines is introducing a new variant of the D-Max called the LS 4×2 AT. The LS 4×2 AT is the most affordable “lifestyle” variant in the D-Max family, with the other category being the “workhorse” variants.
So, what does the LS 4×2 AT get you for its introductory price of P1,549,000? Well, it comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colored B-pillars, silver step boards, and halogen headlights. The grille remains black, though the roof rails that were present on the LS-A and LS-E have been removed here. You also don’t have smart entry with push-button start and LED taillights.
With the LS 4×2 AT still being part of the lifestyle family, the interior still contains a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a smaller 4.2-inch color multi-information display sandwiched between the analog gauges. At the back, occupants still benefit from rear aircon vents along with their own USB charging ports.
Safety features in the D-Max LS 4×2 AT include Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), which are primarily for convenient driving on inclines. There’s also the usual ABS with EBD, along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Powering the Isuzu D-Max LS 4×2 AT is the RZ4E 1.9-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. A six-speed automatic sends power to the rear wheels. This engine and drivetrain combination prides itself on ease of maintenance and durability, which is a major selling point for the D-Max.
The new Isuzu D-Max LS 4×2 AT is being sold at a special introductory price of P1,549,000 until December 31, 2026.
“We understand that our customers today are taking on many roles, from building their careers and businesses to providing for their families and pursuing the things that allow them to live a fuller life. The new Isuzu D-Max LS 4×2 AT is designed to support them through these different aspects of life, giving them the versatility they need while delivering the toughness, reliability, and ownership confidence they expect from Isuzu,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui on the release of the new D-Max.
