Facelifted 2024 Honda Brio Now In PH, Prices Start At P735K

Alongside the equally-new City, the new 2024 Honda Brio has also arrived in the Philippines to shake up the small hatchback segment. Packed with new looks, improved tech features, and a class-leading drivetrain, are these changes enough to keep the Brio relevant?

And that’s what this update is pretty much focused on–the aesthetics. Mechanically, the 2024 Honda Brio continues to feature a 1.2-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC gasoline engine that produces 89 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. This still makes the Brio the only one in its segment to have a four-cylinder engine. The engine drives the front wheels and it can either be mated to a 5-speed manual for the entry-level 1.2 S, while all other variants are fitted with a CVT.

From the outside, the facelifted 2024 Honda Brio has an enlarged mesh grille, a new bumper design, and new alloy wheels–14 inches for the 1.2 V and 15 inches for the RS. The RS’s wheels are the same design-wise but are now finished in a smoked effect. All variants also get new headlights, while all but the base 1.2 S gets LED daytime running lights. The range-topping RS also benefits from full LED headlights and the option for a black roof, depending on the paint choice.

Likewise, the interior of the new Brio only receives minor updates. All variants come with an all-black interior, digital AC controls, and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, though Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality is only available on the 1.2 V and 1.2 RS. The range-topping RS benefits from more aesthetic enhancements with the use of orange stitching and trimmings, power-folding mirrors, and a sportier gauge cluster design.

Lastly, as for safety, all variants of the new Brio come with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and new for this model year, rear parking sensors.

The 2024 Honda Brio is now available in dealers with prices starting at P735,000 for the 1.2 S MT, P827,000 for the 1.2 V CVT, and P853,000 for the 1.2 RS CVT. Splurging for the RS with the optional black roof adds P10,000 to the car’s final price.
