GAC Motor Philippines has officially brought in the new 2024 GAC M6 Pro–a family MPV that aims to compete with the likes of the Toyota Zenix and Hyundai Custin.
Starting with its design, the 2024 GAC M6 Pro builds upon the GN6 that it replaces, but giving it a major facelift that’s characterized by a “wind wing” form for its grille. Halogen headlights and 16-inch wheels are offered in the base GS, but if you want your M6 Pro to look as nice as it could get, you’ll have to step up to the GL (as shown). It’s the GL that gets the LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, panoramic sunroof, and the nice 18-inch wheels you see here. LED taillights are offered, however, on both GS and range-topping GL.
Moving inside the 2024 GAC M6 Pro, the interior has also been significantly upgraded from the GN6 it replaces. The material quality and tech features are also a notch above the previous model whilst maintaining a competitive price tag. As standard, the base GS gets fabric upholstery, dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, as well as a four-speaker system.
Captain’s chairs are also standard across the two variants, but when you step up to the GL, you now get synthetic leather upholstery, an 8-speaker sound system, air quality sensor, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient lighting, heated front seats, and power-adjustment for the driver’s seat.
As for engines, both variants get a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, which is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission.
If you want the latest and greatest in terms of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, just to name a few, you’ll have to step up to the range-topping GL variant.
The 2024 GAC M6 Pro, with its new, striking design, upgraded features over the GN6, as well as more available ADAS systems, you’ll be surprised at its highly competitive prices. The GS starts at just P1,230,000, while the range-topping GL retails for P1,598,000.
