Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) is taking a significant stride towards a greener and sustainable future at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Taking center stage are the Tiggo 7 PHEV and the fully-electric eQ7.
The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is powered by an internal combustion engine with two electric motors equipped with a 19.27 kWh ternary lithium battery. With this technology, motorists can get a good balance between EV Mode for short trips and gasoline or hybrid modes for long-distance travel.

In the case of the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV, this comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a proprietary DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission). It has a combined power output of 326 hp and 545 Nm of torque. Thanks to that 19.27 kWh battery, the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV can travel 80 kilometers in pure EV mode.
Some of the features of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV include a 360-degree camera, six airbags, a full suite of advance driver assistance systems (ADAS), a Sony 8-Speaker Audio System, two 12.3-inch screens, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As for the eQ7, this is a fully-electric crossover SUV that has a driving range of around 500 kilometers. The Chery eQ7 has a minimalist streamlined styling with an ultralow wind drag coefficient of 0.31. This is supported by an active grill system that intelligently closes or opens according to running conditions to effectively save energy.
The eQ7 also adopts an upgraded lithium iron phosphate battery, which has passed the test of the highest waterproof grade IPX9K. Meantime, the dual armor protection creates the safest battery in its class, providing long-lasting peace of mind.
The Chery eQ7 also has dual-zone air conditioning which is complemented with an air quality system. This purifies recirculating air complemented by a fragrance system that can be selected based on the driver’s or passenger’s preference. The eQ7 is also equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens and has a luxurious and futuristic interior. Finally, the eQ7 also comes with a full suite of ADAS features, along with a Driver Monitoring System.
For now, the pricing of these two electrified vehicles has not yet been revealed, but the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV is indicatively priced at P1.8 million, while the eQ7 is pegged to be priced at P2 million.
