Turbocharged 2024 Subaru Outback XT Now In PH, Priced From P2.888M

Would you choose the 2024 Subaru Outback XT or the Mazda CX-60, since both crossover SUVs are similarly priced?

Motor Image Pilipinas, the official disitributor of Subaru in the Philippines, has officially launched the new 2024 Subaru Outback XT. As you’ve probably guessed with the XT nomenclature, this marks the return of the turbocharged boxer engine under the hood of the Outback.

And that’s pretty much what you get for P2,888,000 that Subaru is asking. The 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine is the same one you’ll find in the Evoltis and WRX, but here, it’s been detuned to 246 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. As usual, this is sent to all four wheels via a Lineartronic CVT.

Now, as for the way it looks, it’s actually unchanged from the standard 2.5i-S. This variant gets the same rugged exterior design as before, along with those multi-spoke 18-inch wheels, full LED exterior lighting, just to name a few. The interior also comes with the same Subaru Starlink portrait 11.6-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a Harman Kardon sound system, a powered tailgate, Nappa Leather upholstery, and a sunrood, just to name a few.

As usual with a Subaru as well, the 2024 Subaru Outback XT comes with the EyeSight 4.0 suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, which includes the usual automatic emergency braking, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane centering, just to name a few. This comes on top of blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and rear automatic braking.

As mentioned, the 2024 Subaru Outback XT retails for P2,888,000, putting it right in line with the Mazda CX-60 in terms of pricing.
