The 2025 Kia EV3 has just been unveiled, continuing a long line of highly successful and desirable electric vehicles (EVs) from the South Korean automaker. The EV3 follows the footsteps of the likes of the EV6 and the EV9 but at a more compact and affordable package.

Yet despite being the entry point into Kia’s ever-growing EV range, the EV3 isn’t short on charm and character. Design-wise, the 2025 Kia EV3 looks nearly unchanged from the EV3 concept from a few months back. The EV3 has an upright shape, with the front end possessing a pair of vertical and slim LED headlights. Meanwhile, Kia’s “Star Map” LED daytime running lights give the EV3 a distinct light signature.
As usual with an EV, the exterior has flushed door handles for aerodynamics, but the ones at the rear are integrated into the C-pillar for a cleaner look. In keeping with the Opposites United design language of Kia, there’s a strong contrast with the car’s design details. Yet, they all complement each other to create a unique and distinct electric crossover SUV. The windshield is steeply raked, but the rear windows have an upright shape, which is then contrasted by a sloped tailgate design. Finally, there’s a set of LED taillights that mirror the Star Map LED daytime running lights at the front.

Moving towards the interior, the 2025 Kia EV3 continues to feature a lounge-like layout. The 2.68-meter long wheelbase enables the compact crossover, which has a length of only 4.3 meters, to have a very spacious interior. Further improving upon the interior space utilization are the use of interesting shapes and colors that are welcoming and warm to the eyes. Kia is also proud to highlight that the EV3’s interior is made of sustainable yet premium materials.

Finally, there are a few nifty features inside the Kia EV3, such as the sliding center console table that’s stored under the center armrest, LED ambient lighting, and the bidirectional charging capabilities enabled by its 400-volt architecture. Yes, not 800, but 400 volts.
Also worth talking about in the 2025 Kia EV3 is its pair of 12.3-inch screens housed in a glass piece that’s powered by Hyundai Motor Group’s latest Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system. ccNC also comes with Kia’s first implementation of a virtual voice assistant, while charging is now less of a chore thanks to Kia adding streaming services to the ccNC infotainment. You’ll also be glad to know that an optional Harman Kardon sound system will do justice to whatever content you plan to stream.
As Kia’s most affordable EV to date, you’d be surprised that the EV3 can still go the distance–literally. Two lithium-ion NMC battery options are available, depending on your budget and range needs. The Standard Range model has a 58.3 kWh battery, though the range for this model hasn’t been revealed yet, while the Long Range model has a large 81.4 kWh battery that’s good enough for a WLTP-rated range of up to 600 kilometers. Regardless of battery size, it will only come with a single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout that produces 201 horsepower and 283 Nm of torque. This is good enough for a 0-100 kph time of 7.5 seconds.
As Kia Philippines aims to bolster its electrification plans in the country, there’s a high chance (albeit not confirmed yet) that the EV3 could make its way here. The 2025 Kia EV3, however, will first go on sale in South Korea by July, while European markets will be able to get it in the fourth quarter of 2024. The Asia Pacific region, which includes Southeast Asia, will get its hands on the EV3 by early 2025.
