Fully-Electric 2024 BMW iX2 Now In PH, Priced From P4.290M

The fully-electric 2024 BMW iX2 is sold for P4,290,000, and is packed with style, functionality, and cutting-edge tech.

The first generation BMW X2 wasn’t a particularly huge seller, but the completely overhauled new generation model aims to change that. The X2 is back in the Philippines, but unlike the previous generation model, it will only be sold as the fully-electric 2024 BMW iX2 for P4,290,000

That’s actually a good price for a luxury EV, especially since it’s about the same price as the previous X2 when it was being sold in xDrive20d M Sport form by its previous distributor. Just like the iX1, the model to be launched here is the eDrive20, which means it uses a single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) layout that produces 204 horsepower and 247 Nm of torque. That’s good enough for a 0-100 kph time of 8.6 seconds, and with its 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, it has a maximum range of 478 km based on the WLTP testing cycle. The 3 km advantage is due to the iX2’s raked roofline contributing to its aerodynamic efficiency.

As for charging, the iX2 can accept up to 11 kW in AC, which is good enough for a zero to 100 percent charge in 6.5 hours, while DC fast charging is up to 130 kW (mostly sustained at 94 kW) which enables a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 29 minutes.

Now, when it comes to the exterior, the 2024 BMW iX2 in the Philippines is the M Sport variant. This is characterized by a sportier front and rear bumper, body-colored cladding, and sportier 19-inch wheels. Adaptive matrix LED headlights are standard, and so is the IconicGlow kidney grilles that enhance the iX2’s nighttime presence. The iX2 also has a steeply-raked roofline that gives it the look of a lifted sedan,l while the LED taillights have four boomerang-like elements that stray away from BMW’s usual L-shaped taillight design. Finally, being an M Sport model, this also comes with adaptive suspension.

Moving inside the 2024 BMW iX2, the interior design is largely similar to the iX1, such as the iDrive 9 dual curved displays for the infotainment, the floating center console, and the copious amount of ambient LED lighting. There’s extended leather upholstery on the dash and door panels, while the seat material is Veganza vegan leather upholstery with suede inserts. Like every new BMW for 2024, the iX2 comes with the BMW ConnectedDrive telematics services, while other interior features include a Harman Kardon sound system, and the Hans Zimmer-composed IconicSounds.

Lastly, the 2024 BMW iX2 also comes with the Driving Assistant, which is an added suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) on top of the standard automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning. Driving Assistant includes Lane Departure Warning with lane return, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Blindspot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and exit warning function. The iX2, together with the iX1, are some of the first BMWs in the Philippines that can be upgraded using the Remote Software Upgrades facility.

The 2024 BMW iX2 is now available for viewing in Autoallee BMW, RSA Motors Greenhills, and RSA Motors Libis, the three BMW i EV dealers in the Philippines.
