Autohub Group, which is the distributor of Lotus in the Philippines, has officially launched the new 2025 Lotus Emeya during the brand’s new dealership inauguration. This is the brand’s first-ever foray into the electric four-door sports sedan segment, though this is not the brand’s first sedan. In the 1990s, there used to be a Lotus Carlton, which is the brand’s first and only sedan up to this point. The Emeya, however, is a completely new breed of vehicle for Lotus, following the electric footsteps of the Lotus Eletre.

The 2025 Lotus Emeya follows the design footsteps of the mechanically-related Eletre midsize SUV. The Emeya features twin L-shaped or boomerang-like LED daytime running lights, with the main LED headlight cluster being separate units. There’s also a bulging hood and a chiseled front end containing numerous air ducts for improved aerodynamics. The Emeya underwent numerous aerodynamic tests in order to achieve a porous design, thanks to a total of eight vents around the vehicle.

That porosity is also seen in the C-shaped vents flanking the full-width LED taillights. Air escapes from those vents, and are also channeled through the deployable rear spoiler. Lastly, as for the side profile, it practically mirrors that of the Eletre, but in a sleeker and lower profile that’s achieved by its long, sloping roofline. Combined with the supposed porosity of the Emeya, this long, electric sedan only has a drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd.

Now, as for the interior, the 2025 Lotus Emeya is filled with plenty of tech from its three available screens, two of which (one for the driver and one for the front passenger) are a strip that’s sandwiched in between two dash panels that displays vehicle information, while the one on the passenger side can access multimedia and other vehicle functions. There’s also a large 15.1-inch main touchscreen that’s powered by the Lotus HyperOS, which comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while sounds are played through a KEF surround sound system. Lastly, the driver gets a massive 55-inch windshield-projected head-up display.
As for the rest of the interior, the materials used are expectedly high quality, while the rear seats can either be a traditional bench layout for three people, or executive-style two individualized rear seats with center console storage. Those at the rear seats also get their own small touchscreen to access other amenities as well as to control the rear climate control.
Three variants of the 2025 Lotus Emeya will be sold in the Philippines: the standard Emeya, the Emeya S, and the Emeya R. All Emeya models have a dual motor all-wheel drive (AWD) layout wherein in the Emeya and Emeya S, system output is 603 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, and this is enough for a 0-100 kph time of just 4.15 seconds. The range-topping Emeya R, on the other hand, has a whopping 905 horses and 985 Nm of torque, and this rockets from 0-100 kph in just 2.78 seconds.
Whichever variant you choose, all Emeya models have a 102 kWh battery that’s good for up to 610 kilometers in the Emeya and Emeya S, while the Emeya R and its more powerful motors reduce its range to 485 kilometers. Fast charging speeds for the Emeya are impressive, as this car can support up to 350 kW in DC fast charging. This is enough for a ten to 80 percent charge in just 18 minutes.
The 2025 Lotus Emeya further pushes the boundaries of tech with its advanced suite of driver-assistance features. This is achieved through its NVIDIA Drive Orin systems-on-a-chip (SoCs), which are used to process data from 34 state-of-the-art surround sensors up to 30 times a second, offering 360-degree perception with no blind spots. Furthermore, the Emeya’s sensor suite contains four deployable LiDARs (one of which is visibly mounted on the roof), 18 radars, seven 8-megapixel cameras, and five 2-megapixel cameras, that combine to ensure driver confidence by scanning for obstacles at a radius of up to 200 meters around the car, in every direction, even in low light or inclement weather. They even reconstruct a virtual environment around the vehicle to define the best trajectory.
The 2025 Lotus Emeya is now on sale in the Philippines with a starting price of P8 million for the base Emeya, while the Emeya S retails for P8.5 million. Lastly, the range-topping Emeya R retails for P9.5 million. Those who order or reserve an Emeya until October 31 will get a free XPPF Paint Protection Film, as well as V-Kool VK Series Tint (the V-Kool tint with the highest heat rejection) as well as a 7 kW home charger. If you’re keen to see the Emeya for yourself, you can visit the newly-built Lotus Manila showroom located at 38th Street corner 11th Avenue, Triangle Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
