Nurburgring Record-Holding 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance Now In PH

The 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance, which is the fastest SUV around the Nurburgring, has officially been launched in the Philippines.

Audi Philippines, through PGA Cars, launched the new 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance at last weekend’s World of Supercars event. The RS Q8 Performance is Audi’s most powerful internal combustion engine (ICE) ever, even more powerful than the R8 supercar, and yes, it holds the record for the fastest SUV around the Nurburgring.

Yes, you read that right. The 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance is the fastest SUV to go around the Nurburgring, completing the 20.83-kilometer track in just 7 minutes and 36.698 seconds. How it achieves this feat is through a lot of major reengineering with the Q8 (not the electric Q8 e-tron, mind you). It begins with its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, which has been massaged to produce 632 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, which is good enough for a 0-100 kph time of just 3.6 seconds.

But of course, the Nurburgring is composed of a lot of corners, and for a midsize SUV to handle these corners, it gets an upgraded air suspension that can adjust its ride height by 90 mm. This is also complemented by electromechanical active roll stabilization, wherein electric motors between the two halves of the stabilizer bars counteract any lean that the RS Q8 Performance will experience.

Rear-wheel steering further improves the RS Q8 Performance’s agility, while stopping power is provided by large 420 mm carbon ceramic discs at the front and 370 mm at the rear. The RS Q8 Performance’s large 23-inch wheels are also lighter than the 22-inch wheels of the standard RS Q8.

Now, from a design standpoint, the 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance sets itself apart with its large octagonal grille, and this is filled with a mesh pattern that complements the side lower air intakes. There are also carbon fiber mirror caps and an enlarged rear diffuser. As for the interior, the pinnacle of Audi’s SUV range gets Dinamica microfiber upholstery, RS-specific sports seats, and LED ambient lighting. The Audi MMI twin-screen infotainment system also receives numerous software enhancements that are also RS-specific. This is complemented by a Bang & Olufsen sound system, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2025 Audi RS Q8 Performance is now on sale across all Audi dealers in the Philippines. For interested customers, you can visit Audi Greenhills, Audi Alabang, Audi Global City, and Audi Cebu.
