Mitsubishi Motors PH Updates Xforce For 2027 With Lower P1.119M Base Price

The 2027 Mitsubishi Xforce comes with new features and variants, as well as a revised pricing structure to combat stiffer Chinese rivals.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is giving a raft of updates for the Xforce subcompact crossover SUV for the 2027 model year. Amidst stiffer and electrified competition from the Chinese automakers, the 2027 Mitsubishi Xforce promises added value for your money with the introduction of new features and a base GLX variant.

The Xforce GLX was initially previewed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) as a new entry-level variant. This version retails for P1,119,000, but until July 31, it’ll be sold for P1,049,000. To achieve this pricing, the exterior of the Xforce GLX gets smaller 17-inch wheels and a body-colored roof, but thankfully, that’s about the only altered exterior feature. Full LED exterior lighting is still standard, and so is smart entry with push-button start.

The interior, meanwhile, sees the removal of the two large screens. Instead, what you now get is an analog gauge cluster with a color 4.2-inch multi-information display, along with a 2DIN 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Dynamic Sound Yamaha premium sound system has also been ditched in favor of a six-speaker sound system. The aircon controls are now manual, while the leatherette upholstery with HeatGuard coating of the GLS and GT has been ditched in favor of fabric.

Meanwhile, the mid-spec GLS is expected to be the volume seller due to its lower price tag from before and revised feature set. For 2027, the Xforce GLS gets leatherette upholstery with HeatGuard coating and a 360-degree camera system. The 8-inch digital gauge cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The price? P1,299,000, which is lower than its previous P1,367,000 price tag. Like the GLX, it has an introductory price of 1,199,000 until July 31. However, for the GLS to achieve a lower price, something had to give, and in this case, it’s the Dynamic Sound Yamaha premium sound system.

Lastly, the range-topping GT retains its powered tailgate, Mélange fabric dash, and the full advanced driver-assistance (ADAS) suite. What’s new for this model year is the panoramic glass roof, a 360-degree camera system, and 8-way power-adjustable front seats. In the GT’s case, the additional features bump up its price to P1,661,000 from P1,581,000. Like the two other variants, the GT has an introductory price until July 31–P1,591,000 in this case.

Now, remember that we anticipated an Xforce hybrid being launched at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show? Well, we’re sorry to create unnecessary hype, but that isn’t the case here. The powertrain–a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder that produces 105 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque–is unchanged. So is the CVT, but even the base GLX is fitted with Active Yaw Control (AYC) torque vectoring by breaking.

Apart from the new variants and revised features, the 2027 Mitsubishi Xforce now comes with a 5-year warranty.
