Next-Generation 2027 Mazda CX-5 Arrives In PH For P2.495M

After giving all of you a first look at the next-generation 2027 Mazda CX-5 in Osaka last June, the brand’s bestselling model worldwide has finally arrived in the Philippines. For now, the CX-5 will be sold in a single range-topping 2.5 HEV AWD variant, and here are the specs that you need to know.

The 2027 Mazda CX-5 in this range-topping, fully loaded 2.5 HEV AWD trim comes with gloss black exterior cladding and gloss black 19-inch wheels. You also get adaptive matrix LED lighting up front, along with full LED exterior lighting all around the vehicle itself. At this point, you’re already familiar with the way it looks, which, in this case, the CX-5’s evolved Kodo Design takes on a theme called “Wearable Gear”. Mazda has aimed the CX-5 to be something that you’re proud to wear and complement your active lifestyle.

Inside, the 2027 Mazda CX-5 comes with tan leather upholstery, along with the new E/E Architecture+ (EEA+), which is the brand’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) architecture. Its backbone is Google’s Android Automotive operating system, which means that the 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and larger 15.6-inch infotainment system natively run Google services. There’s also a Bose sound system, heated and cooled front seats with power adjustment, a panoramic sunroof, plus heated seats for the outboard rear seats. Finally, there’s also a powered tailgate for easy access to the cargo area.

As for the interior itself, the material quality takes a bit of a step back, since it features more hard plastics this time around. Mazda, however, hopes that the significant improvement in tech features will help it attract a new set of customers. Space has also been significantly improved. The much longer body has given the new CX-5 one of the best rear seat spaces and cargo spaces, too.

Powering the 2027 Mazda CX-5 is a familiar 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, but it now employs Mazda’s e-Skyactiv-G 24-volt mild hybrid system. The output is 181 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic.

Lastly, the 2027 Mazda CX-5 comes with the full suite of i-Activsense advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including automatic emergency braking, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane centering, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert, just to name a few.

The 2027 Mazda CX-5 2.5 HEV AWD is now on sale across all of the brand’s dealerships nationwide with a price tag of P2,495,000. To make the CX-5 even more tempting, Mazda Philippines is offering its latest offering with 0% interest for up to 36 months through EastWest Bank, Security Bank, and BDO.
