After being previewed at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the 2027 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has finally reached dealers nationwide. The Outlander PHEV is positioned as Mitsubishi’s flagship model in the Philippines, showcasing the best of what the brand is capable of creating.
Of course, the main highlight of the Outlander PHEV is its plug-in hybrid system. The model that Mitsubishi has brought in is the facelifted version, which gets a power boost and increased electric range. The 2027 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV combines a 2.4-liter MIVEC gasoline engine with front and rear electric motors, which produce a total system output of 306 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. It is also trying to match the affordable Chinese plug-in hybrids with its combined driving range of almost 1,000 kilometers, and 100 kilometers of pure electric range.
As for charging, the Outlander PHEV has a Type 2 port, which makes this new model more compatible with charging stations nationwide versus the previous generation’s ChaDeMo port. Even when charging facilities are unavailable, the Outlander PHEV continues to operate efficiently as a hybrid electric vehicle.
But what makes the Outlander PHEV’s hybrid system stand out is Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC)—a fully integrated system that brings together the dual-motor four-wheel drive (4WD), Active Yaw Control (AYC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Active Stability Control (ASC), and Traction Control System (TCS). By intelligently coordinating these systems, S-AWC continuously optimizes traction, stability, and handling— giving drivers greater confidence and control across a wide range of road and driving conditions.
As for advanced driver-assistance systems, the 2027 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is equipped with the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) suite, which includes Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam, and Driver Attention Alert.

As a facelifted model, the 2027 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV comes with an updated front end. It features the reworked Dynamic Shield grille, along with large, stylized 20-inch alloy wheels. The bold exterior is further accentuated by sleek full-LED lighting fixtures, wherein the LED daytime running lights are separate from the main LED headlights.
The side profile of the Outlander PHEV is both sleek and rugged. There’s a high-enough ground clearance for the occasional light off-roading, while the blacked-out roof pillars help it stand out among other crossover SUVs. At the back, the Outlander PHEV has full LED taillights and a sculpted tailgate for a more distinct look.
Mitsubishi is pitching the Outlander PHEV as their flagship, and that’s reflected in the truly premium interior. Light gray leather upholstery with diamond stitching uplift the interior ambiance, and so does its generous serving of soft-touch materials and satin silver trims. Those seats feature heating and cooling, as well as power adjustment for both the driver and front passenger. A large panoramic glass roof adds more light and airiness to the interior feel.
Tech is also generously served in the Outlander PHEV, as drivers get their own 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, while the 12.3-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio (SDA) with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is paired to an immersive 8-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system. The Outlander PHEV also has a digital rear view mirror, a head-up display, and tri-zone automatic climate control.
The 2027 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is being sold for P2,848,000, but to celebrate its arrival, customers may enjoy special introductory pricing of P2,749,000 for reservations and vehicle releases made from August 20 to September 30, 2026.
