Apart from the new generation Mini Cooper, the 2025 Mini Countryman has also been launched in the Philippines. The not-so-mini Mini Countryman grows even more in size for this generation, as well as gaining a new, purely electric variant for the first time.

Like the Mini Cooper, the Countryman adopts the brand’s newest Charismatic Simplicity design language. This means that many of the core design features of the Mini brand, such as the two-tone motif and the chic shapes are still there. Only this time, the 2025 Mini Countryman has more edges in its design, particularly with the roofline and the LED headlights, which now have a squared-off look.
Mini has also evolved the Countryman’s design to be given its own identity as well. In this case, it comes in the form of a black trim piece in the C-pillars to give the Countryman a cap-style roof. The rear overhangs have also been lengthened, thus giving it wagon-like proportions as well as the benefit of increasing its cargo area. However, since the 2025 Mini Countryman measures 4,429 mm long, it is 13 cm longer than the model it replaces, and thus, is now the biggest Mini to date.

That increase in size pays dividends to its interior, which not only looks trendy and chic, but it also has a good amount of space for five adults. The main eye candy, of course, would be the front part of the interior as this consists of a 9.5-inch circular display running the latest Mini Operating System 9 that comes with the Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are fitted, and so is a wireless charger in the place where a gear lever would normally be.
Like the new Mini Cooper, the Countryman also has fewer physical controls, though the signature toggle switches that Minis have been known for have been retained. The gear selector has been moved together with those toggle switches, while the rest of the interior is made out of premium or sustainable materials.
The 2025 Mini Countryman is available in two versions, the sporty Countryman S, and the fully-electric Countryman SE. Unlike the Mini Cooper, which are actually two different vehicles underpinned by different platforms, the Countryman uses an evolution of the BMW UKL2 platform that is also used by the current BMW X1. With the Countryman S, you get a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that produces 214 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, and this is sent through an All4 all-wheel drive (AWD) system via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). This is good for a 0-100 kph time of 7.1 seconds.
If you want to go the fully-electric route, the Countryman SE has a dual-motor AWD layout whose system output is 308 horsepower and 494 Nm of torque. That’s good for a blisteringly quick 0-100 kph time of 5.6 seconds, while the 66.5 kWh battery enablea a WLTP-rated range of 433 kilometers.
Mini Philippines has also fitted the Countryman with a plethora of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The integrated braking system further contributes to the car’s excellent driving dynamics and controllability. A crisp, secure feeling when braking increases the dynamics and precision of the vehicle due to reliable stabilization. In conjunction with the Driving Assistant package, shorter braking distances increase safety. The 2025 Mini Countryman also has a 360-degree Parking View, as well as the Parking Assistant semi-autonomous parking assistant feature.
As for pricing, the 2025 Mini Countryman retails for P3,899,000 for the fully-electric SE, which is exactly the same price as the mechanically-related BMW iX1 despite being more powerful. The Countryman S, on the other hand, is actually the more expensive of the two as this is priced at P4,299,000. The 2025 Mini Countryman can now be viewed at Mini Bonifacio Global City, Mini Pampanga, and Mini Cebu.
